State-Of-The-Art Presentations
The Science Advisory Committee has invited leaders in the field to share their expertise in transplantation medicine. The State-Of-The-Art Presentation topics include: Transplantation Tolerance, Challenges of Transplantation in Developing Countries, the Role of B Cells in Transplantation, Future of Cell Transplantation, Emerging Infections in Transplantation, and Immunosuppressive Agents.
Plenary Sessions
The speakers have been chosen from among the most prominent investigators in each field. The chairs are pre-eminent members of the transplant community.
Oral Abstract Sessions
Listen to our top abstract scorers present their theories and supporting research. A total of three plenary oral abstract sessions and six concurrent oral abstract sessions have been scheduled.
Poster Sessions
The Poster Sessions are an important and indispensable educational event of this meeting. View outstanding science encompassing a multitude of topics with ample opportunity for discussion with authors.
Posters Session Schedule:
A wine and cheese reception will accompany each of the poster sessions.
Mini-Oral Abstract Luncheon Sessions
Two Mini-Oral Abstract Luncheon Sessions provide an additional opportunity for high scoring abstracts, selected for poster presentation, to be verbally presented. These popular and educational sessions run Sunday and Tuesday, August 7th and August 9th from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
Lunches
Due to tight scheduling we recommend that attendees pre purchase lunch. Plated lunches will vary day to day and there will be a vegetarian option available. Items offered may include meats, poultry, fish, cheeses, vegetables and sweets. A half liter drink is also included. Please be sure to purchase a luncheon ticket by completing the luncheon section on the registration page.
Parallel Interactive Workshops
Parallel Interactive Workshops are designed to be small working discussion sessions, with a limited number of attendees in each session. Registration will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis. When a session is filled, registration will be closed. In most cases, there will be no availability on site, so register early. Interactive workshops will be held on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. See program pages for the topics being offered.
The Scientific Advisory Committee is proud to introduce this new Post Graduate Course to the 2005 program. The Post Graduate Course will focus
on the fundamentals of Pediatric Transplantation. Pediatric transplant experts in both science and clinical care will cover the basic science of this
topic as well as the latest developments. For attendees wishing to review various issues related to pediatric transplantation, be sure to register for
this event. The Post Graduate Course begins Saturday, August 6th at 8:30 AM and ends at 3:30 PM.
There will be a Speaker Ready Room for presenters located in the New Orleans room on the 3rd floor of the Congress Innsbruck Center. All speakers must check in to the Speaker Ready Room with their presentations one day in advance of their scheduled talk. All presentations must be down loaded to the network computer system.
